Charles Malata

Academic Distinctions (Prizes & Scholarships)

During his training and career, Professor Charles Malata has received several prizes, awards and fellowships both national and international. These include Travelling Fellowships from the British Association of Plastic Surgeons and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons for American training in Cosmetic and Breast Surgery. He has also won academic prizes from the European Society for Surgical Research, the British Association of Plastic Surgeons and the Association of Surgeons of Great Britain and Ireland. For his work in the field of Aesthetic Surgery, Professor Malata was awarded the Mentor Prize in Cosmetic Surgery for his published work on a prospective comparison of smooth and textured silicone breast implants for cosmetic breast augmentation (British Journal of Plastic Surgery).
